At the Start of a Shift
At the start of every shift, the forklift driver scans his badge to logs into the S2 Digital Inspection Checklist with Impact Monitoring. This prompts the forklift driver to begin the inspection before he can begin his daily tasks or even drive the forklift. All he needs to do is answer the questions with the thumbs up or the thumbs down. Once the system notifies the driver that they have passed inspection, the driver can begin his task and the forklift with start. If the forklift driver doesn’t pass inspection, then the forklift will not start and a notification will be sent to the appropriate contact people.
What If Something Goes Wrong?
What if the forklift passed inspection and has a problem after the day had begun? If the forklift passed the initial inspection, then the forklift driver is able to proceed with starting the forklift and use it during the daily tasks. If while the driver is using the forklift that an issue begins, the forklift will provide a warning to the forklift driver and give a designated amount of time for the forklift driver to pull over and stop the forklift in a safe location.
